Team Introduction Data Platform-Data Architecture team focuses on building the best-in-class next generation data engine execution runtime, aiming for accelerating data systems (including Spark, Presto, ClickHouse, ElasticSearch, etc) at massive scale, greatly increasing efficiency and hardware utilization. The team operates the distributed data infrastructure powering cloud native data warehouse, which is the foundation behind data-driven decision making. As a senior software engineer, you will have the opportunity to build, optimize and grow one of the largest data platforms in the world. You’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on all kinds of systems in the data platform ecosystem. Your work will have a direct and huge impact on the company’s core products as well as hundreds of millions of users. – Design and implement reliable, scalable, robust and extensible big data system kernels that support core products and business – Build the world-leading cloud native OLAP engine for PB level data sets – Optimize and contribute to open source data frameworks, Spark SQL, Presto, Clickhouse, Doris, Alluxio, Velox etc. – Responsible for architecting internal data warehouses and data lakes to support all business unites – Creating innovative solutions toward system scalability, reliability, and availability problems Minimum Qualifications – Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience – Familiar with commonly used algorithms, data structures, network programming and multi-threaded programming – Experience with accelerating data processing and transferring using modern hardware like FPGA, GPU, RDMA etc – Experience with systems architecture, OS/kernel, and low level performance analysis – Experience with native programming languages like C++ in production |
