Position Responsibility

– Lead the EE design teams to define the computation hardware feature requirements.
– Develop the heterogeneous computation system, including CPUs, AI accelerators, GPUs, memory, network, storage, power systems, etc., to ensure design meeting the stringent automotive grade standards.
– Define electronic circuit architectures and design features (DFM/DFT/DFI), sub-system functionalities, and performance targets.
– Lead a multi-site team in executing design concepts, schematics, layout, and validation, analyzing issues and bugs, and driving solutions.
– Develop the EE design with vendors/suppliers, internal validation teams, product manufacturers, and car OEMs to track issues in high-volume manufacturing, validation, and production.
– Build up design processes and methodologies to ensure products can be scaled to much higher volume in the future.


Requirement

– S. or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or related fields. Have 10+ years of experience in x86 or ARM computing hardware design and validation.
– 5+ years of team lead/manager or project management experience.
– Expertise in board design, CPU/GPU/FPGA/networking/storage architecture, and design spec is a must. Knowledge of functional safety, power generation and delivery, high-speed IO, and RF design is a plus.
– Must have hands-on experience in both board design, bring-up, and electrical validation.
– Strong analytical skills and ability to collect information and identify fundamental patterns/trends in data. This includes the ability to gather, integrate, and interpret information from several sources.
– Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly and accurately, as well as choosing the most effective method of delivery (e.g., email, phone, face-to-face).
– Experience and ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members. This includes providing development experiences, advice, and teaching to prepare team members for effective job performance.
– Strong project management skills for planning and decision-making. This includes developing and communicating objectives, timelines, assignments, and goals.
– Attention to detail and engineering excellence in previous work, passionate about autonomous driving technology development, and working in agile development teams.
– Flexibility to work with multi-time zones and occasional overseas travel required.
– Knowledge in sensor sub-systems (camera, LiDAR, radar, GPS/GNSS, etc.), thermal and mechanical, platform software is a plus.
